WHAT WE LOVE

  • Elektra Magnesium flakes are naturally harvested from an open pristine mountain lake 3,000m above sea level in theTibetan plateau. The salt water is naturally dehydrated via dehydration tanks. The sodium chloride rises to the top and is skimmed off to make table salt. When the brine gets down to the last 15% thick slurry it is called 'bischofite', which is then further dehydrated into magnesium chloride hexahydrate flakes (crystals containing about half water and the other half magnesium salts).
  • This certified food grade Magnesium Chloride Flakes are lab tested in Australia to 10ppb showing no toxic metals (no lead nor mercury). Note that not all magnesium chloride flakes from the Tibetan Pleateau are food grade certified because some are harvested using solution mining (drilling into the mountain), which makes them the cheaper industrial grade.
  • Only 15% of the world's magnesium chloride is certified food grade: The rest is industrial grade from solution mining, or extracted from polluted surface waters at ground level (ocean, river dredging, desert lakes or from desalination plant wastes).
  • Elektra Magnesium Flakes contain the highest concentration of elemental magnesium in the range of magnesium salts. There are 150-160mg of elemental magnesium per one gram of flakes. One pinch of flakes (ie. half a gram) added to a litre of filtered water mimics natural spring waters, providing about 75-80mg of elemental magnesium.

INGREDIENTS

Magnesium chloride hexahydrate food grade (incl residual trace minerals from natural source MgCl2.6H20), and purified water.

HOW TO USE

To make magnesium water:

  • Dilute 6 to 12 drops per litre of filtered drinking water according to taste and needs. This dilution mimics natural spring water and is optimal for gut absorption.
  • Stir or shake water well after adding drops

Usage and dosing guide:

  • Drinking 3L per day at 8 drops per litre = 24 drops = approx. 185mg of elemental magnesium per day.
  • One 100mL bottle lasts about 2 months at this rate.
    At a higher dose of 30 drops per day (232mg magnesium), one bottle lasts about 50 days.

For a stronger laxative or dental rinse:

  • Add 24 drops (approx. ½ teaspoon) or more per 8oz glass
    Note: Higher doses may have a more bitter taste


Always filter your water before adding drops (fluoride will bind to magnesium and wont allow your body to use it).
Drops must be diluted before consumption.
