Breathwork

Breathwork is a guided, body-led practice that supports regulation, clarity, and deeper mind-body connection. It is offered exclusively to existing 1:1 coaching clients so sessions are held with full context, established rapport, and a strong focus on safety, consent, and integration.

What Is Breathwork?

Breathwork is a guided practice of conscious, intentional breathing. In simple terms, it is a structured way of using your breath to shift your internal state; physically, emotionally, and mentally.

Your breathing pattern and your nervous system are closely linked. When you are under pressure, your breath often becomes shallow, tight, or held without you even noticing. Over time, this can keep the body in a more activated, “switched on” state. Breathwork helps bring awareness back to the breath and uses specific techniques to support a return to calm, clarity, and regulation.

In a 1:1 session, you are guided through a breathing sequence that is paced to you. Some people experience deep relaxation and a sense of spaciousness. Others notice emotional release, insight, or a stronger connection to their body. There is no right way to experience breathwork; the session meets you where you are on the day.

Because it is such a direct way of working with your body, breathwork can feel surprisingly powerful, even though the only thing you are “doing” is breathing. Over time, many people find that learning to work with the breath supports better self-awareness, emotional regulation, and a more grounded response to everyday stress.

Why People Choose Breathwork

People choose Breathwork when they know something needs to shift, but talking about it or “thinking their way through it” hasn’t helped. It is often chosen as a practical, body-led way to create a reset; to slow down, reconnect, and move out of the constant mental noise that builds up when life is demanding.

Some clients come in feeling tense, wired, or emotionally full. Others feel flat, disconnected, or like they have been running on autopilot for too long. Many simply want a supported space to breathe, release what they have been carrying, and return to a steadier internal baseline.

Because every session is 1:1, the experience is paced to you and your intention on the day. The outcomes are always individual, but below are some of the most common reasons people choose Breathwork.

Feel Calmer & More Grounded

Many people come to Breathwork because they feel constantly “on” or like their system never fully switches off. A guided breathing sequence can support a shift into a calmer, steadier state and help you feel more present in your body.

Clients often describe leaving a session feeling clearer, lighter, and more settled; like they have come back to themselves.

Clear Mental Noise & Gain Clarity

When your mind feels busy or stuck in loops, it can be hard to access clarity. Breathwork is often chosen as a circuit-breaker; a way to step out of constant thinking and reconnect with a quieter internal baseline.

Some clients notice insight or a new perspective simply because their system slows down enough to hear what is actually going on underneath.

Release Built-Up Tension & Emotion

Breathwork can create a safe, supported space for releasing what has been stored in the body; tension, emotion, pressure, and fatigue that has been carried for too long.

Some sessions feel deeply relaxing and subtle. Others can feel more cathartic. There is no “right” experience, and everything is guided at a pace that is appropriate for you.

Reconnect With Your Body & Intuition

Many people feel disconnected from their body; living in their head, running on autopilot, or ignoring signals until they become impossible to ignore. Breathwork helps bring awareness back inside, so you can feel what you feel and respond with more clarity.

Over time, this can support better self-awareness and a more grounded response to everyday demands.

Our Approach

Breathwork is facilitated 1:1 in a private clinical setting and offered exclusively to existing 1:1 coaching clients. This is not a “breathing class” where you learn dozens of techniques. It is a guided, structured process designed to support a shift in state, release what is ready to move, and reconnect you to your body in a safe and supported way.

This style of Breathwork sits within the personal development tradition Di trained in. Sessions are paced to the person and held with clear professional standards; safety, consent, boundaries, and integration are prioritised so the work stays grounded and appropriate on the day.

  • Facilitated 1:1 Breathwork: A private session guided by Di, designed to support regulation, clarity, and emotional release in a structured, supported setting.

  • Paced To The Person: No pushing, no performance. Your session is adapted to your intention, readiness, and what your body is signalling in the moment.

  • Personal Development Focus: Breathwork can help you move beyond mental noise and access deeper self-awareness; the place where patterns, beliefs, and emotional holding often live.

  • Safety, Consent, Integration: Clear boundaries, informed consent, and time to integrate after the breathing sequence so you leave grounded and supported.

What To Expect In Your 2-hour Session

This is a private, one-on-one session in our Preston clinic. Di will guide you through the process step by step and tailor the session to your intention and readiness on the day.

  • Check-In

We start with a short check-in to understand your intention, your current stress load, and what kind of support is most appropriate for you today.

  • Guided Breathing

You are guided through a structured breathing sequence in a safe, supported setting. The aim is regulation, release, and reconnection, not pushing through.

  • Integration

We finish with time to settle, ground, and integrate. This helps you leave feeling steady and resourced, with practical insight to take into daily life.

  • After Your Session

Plan a softer rest-of-day where possible. Hydrate well, eat simply, and give yourself space to rest. Gentle movement and journaling can also support integration.

Safety, Consent & Ethics

Informed Consent & Boundaries

Before we begin, we explain the process and confirm what feels safe and appropriate for you. You are always in control of your experience and you can pause, adjust, or stop at any time.

Confidential, 1:1 Space

Sessions are delivered 1:1 in a private clinical setting. This creates the space to be supported properly, without rushing, judgement, or pressure.

Contraindications & Modifications

Breathwork is offered within 1:1 coaching so Di can assess suitability with full context. If anything may impact safety or readiness, the approach can be adjusted, postponed, or redirected to what is most appropriate.

Trauma-Informed Facilitation

We prioritise pacing, nervous system safety, and choice. This is not about pushing through intensity. It is about creating a supported environment where the body can settle and shift at a sustainable pace.

Honest, No-Hype Expectations

Breathwork can be powerful, but outcomes are individual. Some sessions feel subtle and grounding, others feel more emotional. We keep expectations realistic and focus on what is appropriate for you on the day.

Is Breathwork For Me?

Breathwork is a powerful, body-led process, but it isn’t one-size-fits-all.

Breathwork is offered exclusively to existing 1:1 coaching clients. This ensures Di is holding the work with full context, established rapport, and the right level of support.

You are always in control. You can pause, slow down, adjust, or stop at any time. Di will guide you back to a steadier place and support you to stay within what feels safe and manageable.

How Will I Feel After A Session?

Everyone is different. Many people feel calmer, clearer, and more grounded. Some feel tired afterwards and prefer a quieter schedule. We recommend hydration, simple food, and allowing time for rest and integration.
